Cambridge Hub

Email coordinators [at] cambridgehub [dot] org

Website http://www.cambridgehub.org

The Cambridge Hub is a student-run network, with over thirty five member groups, that aims to coordinate and raise the profile of charitable, ethical, campaigning and volunteering activities in Cambridge University. Through our website, weekly email bulletins and social networking events, we connect students with causes to help tackle today's social and environmental challenges.

Our website has classified listings of all our member groups with info about what they do, links to their websites and facebook groups, and up-to-date contact details. It also has a what’s on section with details of all the charitable, ethical and campaigning events coming up in Cambridge, as well as info about volunteering opportunities in Cambridge and useful resources about ethical careers.

Our weekly email bulletins give you a round-up of the charitable, ethical and campaigning events coming up in Cambridge University, as well as details of opportunities to get involved with our member groups. The Week is just what you need to avoid your inbox clogging up with loads of unnecessary mail - we search for and collate all the info so you don’t have to! You can subscribe to The Week from our website’s homepage.

Our social networking events are great opportunities to connect with our member groups and meet like-minded people. For example, the Hub’s Re-Freshers Tea Party takes place in the Michaelmas Term a couple of weeks after the huge and hectic University Freshers’ Fair and is a perfect occasion to (re-)connect with our member groups in a smaller and more relaxed setting with lots of free tea, coffee and cakes.

The Hub works in partnership with CUSU Ethical Affairs and Student Community Action. We also have ties with the Humanitarian Centre, the University Careers Service and the University Community Affairs Office.
